Wednesday Word: Soutache

Soutache - noun.

If you haven't heard of soutache (pronounced soo-TASH) before, you definitely have seen it. It's also called Russian braid or tracing braid. It's a narrow, flexible braid used for decorations on fabrics and garments, particularly uniforms. However, in recent years it has become a popular form of jewelry making as well. The braid has a channel in the centre which makes it easy to stitch.
