Wednesday Word: Foment

Foment - vert.

Today's word has two meanings where it is both used as a verb. In some cases, foment is a way of encouraging or instigating trouble, rebellion or discord.

The second meaning is surprising to me - foment can be used to describe the application of salves or liquids to a wound or body part.
