Wednesday Word: Vivipary

Vivipary - A biological occurrence where seeds or embryos begin to develop before they detach from the parent plant.

You have probably come across unsettling and weeeeird photos of alien tomatoes, strawberries and other plants that looked diseased or mutated. Nope - it's just the seeds trying to mature. You can Google the concept, but, be warned, the results will be a little gross.
