apricate (ap' r k t), verb.  To bask in the sun; to expose to sunlight.

From Latin apricus, exposed to the sun.  From the late 1600s.

Apricity is defined as the warmth of sun in winter.

My cats apricate whenever they can.  I do not apricate enough.
