Happy NaNoWriMo Monday, everyone! So who's participating this year? :)
Agraphia
noun
Pronunciation:
[a-gra-fire]
Definition:
A medical term. The sudden loss of the ability to write, often due to brain lesion.
Etymology:
From the Greek a + graphein meaning not to write.
Undecillion
noun
Pronunciation:
[un-di-sil-yun]
Definition:
A number succeeded by 36 (U.S. standards) or 66 zeros (British standards).
Etymology:
From the Latin “…undec ( im ) eleven ( ūn ( us ) one + -decim, comb. form of decem ten) + -illion, as in million .”
Usage:
"Melanie’s excuse for not participating in NaNoWriMo this year was her alleged bout of agraphia but really she was terrified by the daily word count.
“I can’t write do it! The daily word count's like one undecillion words! It's impossible!” she exaggerated.”
Love Tahlia. Here's hoping agraphia doesn't strike any NaNo participants!
