Wednesday Word: Aptronym

Aptronym - Also aptonym or euonym, all three words can be used to described someone whose name suits their occupation. There are many famous and funny examples and you probably know a few from your own life. Hubs had to see an ENT once called...Doctor Doctor.

The concept of nominative determinism is used to describe people that gravitate towards occupations that suit their name, such as a Ms. Bird or Mr. Baker.

Buzzfeed has a funny list with some great examples.
