WE. ARE GOING. TO DIE. :(

(no subject)

Apologies for the late wordiness - my intarweb has been down until just now. Better late than dead, I say.

Hecatomb [hek'a-toam]
noun

A large sacrifice or slaughter; the killing of one hundred animals or people.

Hecatomb, like decimate (deci - ten), is a word for killing involving the number to be killed, but has now come to mean a more general slaughter of many people.

From Greek hekatombe, from hekaton 'one hundred' and bous 'ox'

Right now, at 7am, I would honestly offer a hecatomb or two for my coffee to be ready sooner rather than later!

Sorry about missing last week. I was out on the mesa in Taos with no electricity (or water). I am headed out to the Mojave desert today, but should be in sunny Florida for next week's post!
